here I sit down with a very cool guy who co wrote some MAJOR hit songs with Stevie Wonder, but he also was a DJ out of Philadelphia so he spent a good chunk of his career doing that before moving to Detroit & starting to write with Stevie in the late 60's/early 70's. he is the first ever Disc Jockey I've ever had on my podcast from the 60's, which is very cool because there is very few of them left from back in the 60's.

here I sit down with a great teen idol who actually had 4 different phases to his career. his first hit came out in 1960, then his next hit was in 1962, then (many flopped singles later and a few smaller hits) he came back on to Top 40 Radio again in 1966 with two more hits, then he made a huge comeback in 1970 with a Top 10 smash of a cover of a great early 60's R&B/Soul song, but all throughout the 60's, he put out great singles and while a lot of them weren't hits, many of them were great songs that definitely should've been HUGE hits. here he goes into the behind the scenes details for those songs as well as his biggest selling hit records as well.

here I am with a VERY cool behind the scenes guy from the 60's. he wrote songs with a guy named P.F. Sloan. he is a veteran of the LA recording scene having produced so many hits in Hollywood. he extensively used the Wrecking Crew on so many of his hits. this interview was done in person. here he dives in deep into the writing process of the songs he wrote with P.F. Sloan as well as some little known secrets about the hits that he produced in the 60's and early 70's as well.

here I sit down with a very cool guy. he was the lead singer of a worldwide number one smash hit in 1969. the song is called "Sugar Sugar" the group who did it was a fake cartoon group called the Archies. here he reveals some very little known secrets about that song and he also dishes out on some little known secrets about a another fake bubblegum group he was the voice of & their one and only hit. the group was called the Cuff Links. the hit was called Tracy. before any of that, Ron sang with arguably the first big hit parody group who did a great parody of the Shangri Las hit "Leader Of The Pack" called "Leader Of the Laoundromat". he shares some secrets about that song as well as some music he did for a Hanna Barbara Cartoon series from the early 70's. he also talks about a Neil Sedaka turned Gene Pitney hit was a singer on as well.

here I am with an original member of an absolutely great 60's band. they were fantastic singers & great musicians as well. they were all underage & barely legal when they were having their massive success in the 60's, yet they toured all across the country & appeared on countless TV shows back in the 60's & because they were so young back then, most of them are still in their 60's & 70's (none of the family members who were in the group are in their 80's yet as of right now) so they still sound great live & I was very excited to talk to one of the original members of this group & here he dishes out on their family history on this month's interview episode.
